Appeal after cyclist injured in Fitzrovia rush hour collision

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a cyclist was injured in Fitzrovia during the morning rush hour.

Police were called to Bloomsbury Street junction with Great Russell Street, WC1 at 0746hrs on Tuesday, 15 May to reports of a road traffic collision.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a female cyclist suffering injuries following a collision with a truck.

The 36-year-old female cyclist was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital where her condition has been assessed as not life threatening or life changing.

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command [RTPC] are investigating and are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

The driver of the truck stopped at the scene of the collision and is assisting police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
