Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify after he scammed money from a vulnerable woman.

On either 11 or 12 December 2018, the man knocked on the front door of the 82-year-old woman's home on Foxlands Road in Dagenham.

He claimed that she owed him £200 for decorating services, which she duly paid. No work had been carried out.

The man returned on a second occasion and was caught on a CCTV camera the woman's daughter had installed following the first offence.

Officers have released this image in the hope that someone will recognise the man and contact police.

They would also like to hear from anyone who may have been approached by this man, or who was in the area and saw a man acting suspiciously.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Schlosz at the East Area Command Unit via 101.
