Appeal after male seriously assaulted, Ladbroke Grove

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was seriously assaulted in Ladbroke Grove.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 00:30hrs on Thursday, 4 January, to reports of a 17-year-old boy who had been slashed across the face with a sharp object at a bus stop on Ladbroke Grove.

The victim was waiting at the bus stop near to the junction with Chesterton Road when a number of males jumped out of a dark coloured vehicle and attacked him.

The victim suffered serious facial injuries and required extensive hospital treatment. He has been left with permanent scarring on his face.

Detective Sergeant Chris Taylor, from Notting Hill CID, said: "We are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who may have seen this incident take place. This was a violent and unprovoked attack on a young man who was just waiting for a bus.

"I would urge anyone with information to come forward and contact the investigating team directly on 020 8246 0311 or provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
