Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a serious collision in Twickenham which has resulted in the death of a woman.
Police were called to St Margarets Road at the junction with Sandycoombe Road, Twickenham at 19:55hrs on Thursday, 4 January to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s who was standing at a bus stop when she was struck, was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital.
She suffered critical injuries and sadly died in hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, 6 January.
Her next of kin are aware.
The driver of the vehicle involved, an Audi Quattro, stopped at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that are not life threatening.
There has been no arrest at this time. Enquiries continue.
The Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating and would like anyone who saw the collision, and the moments before it, to get in touch with officers.
