Appeal following fatal collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A1 in Barnet.

Officers were called at 10.56hrs on Wednesday, 21 June to reports of a car in collision with a motorcycle on Falloden Way in Barnet.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended and treated the 29-year-old motorcyclist for serious injuries.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:36hrs. Next of kin have been informed; formal identification awaits.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Jane Mallett, from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: "We would urge any members of the public to come forward with information, specifically if they saw anything, as it could prove vital to our ongoing investigation."
