Appeal following fatal collision in Wembley

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Wembley.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at approximately 07:36hrs on Saturday 23 February, to reports of a car in collision with a motorcycle on Ealing road, Wembley.

Officers attended along with London's Air Ambulance.

Despite efforts of the medical teams, the male motorcycle rider, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 08:07hrs.

His next-of-kin have been informed.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist police; they were not arrested.

Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward and share what they know.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Cannings said: “We know that there were a number of people who witnessed this collision, and we would like to hear from them to complete the missing pieces of the puzzle.

“The motorcycle rider was riding a red and white Yamaha model, and the car that collided with him was a grey Peugeot.

“Anyone who saw either vehicle shortly before the collision, or indeed the collision itself is asked to contact police via 101 reference CAD 1961/23.”
