UPDATE: Appeal following fatal collision on Chelsea Bridge

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal collision on Chelsea Bridge. Police were called at 07:50hrs on Wednesday, 27 September to Chelsea Bridge, SW1.

A lorry had been in collision with a cyclist.

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The cyclist, a 36-year-old woman, was taken to a west London hospital where she died later the same day.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The 42-year-old driver of the lorry stopped at the scene. He was arrested and taken to a central London police station and has been released under investigation for causing death by dangerous driving pending further enquiries.
