Appeal following fatal road traffic collision in Newham

Detectives are investigating following a fatal collision in Newham.

Police were called at 16:50hrs on Wednesday, 8 May to Barking Road E13 following reports of a road traffic collision.

A car had been in collision with a motorcycle.

Officers attended with LAS and London's Air Ambulance.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed. We await formal identification.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old man, stopped at the scene. He was not arrested.

Road closures were put in place whilst emergency services were at work.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit ask anyone who has dash cam footage, or who witnessed the incident, to call 0208 597 4874.
