Officers from Westminster Crime Squad are leading the investigating into the burglaries which both happened at department stores in the West End in October.
The first incident happened at the Liberty store in Regent Street, W1 at around 00:30hrs on Tuesday, 3 October.
Six suspects on three mopeds smashed their way into the venue via a front window with hammers. A large amount of toiletry items were stolen.
Just after 00:45hrs on Thursday, 26 October, the House of Fraser department store in Oxford Street, W1 was targeted in a similar way. Designer handbags were stolen.
A 25-year-old man has been charged in relation to both incidents, but police are seeking the other suspects involved.
DC Victor Barkes, leading the investigation, said: "We have charged one person but we are still looking for outstanding suspects who took part in these brazen burglaries, causing significant criminal damage and making off with goods worth thousands of pounds. If you have any information about these incidents of the people involved, get in touch."
