Appeal following sexual assault onboard bus

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for information following a sexual assault onboard a night bus travelling from central London towards Morden.

The assault occurred on a Route N155 bus at approximately 04:15hrs on 19 November 2017. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, boarded the bus in central London.

The suspect boarded the bus between central London and Lambeth and sat next to the woman despite there being other seats available.

He then sexually assaulted her, before getting off the bus on Balham New Road in Wandsworth.

The suspect is described as a white man, agedin his 30s and around 5ft 6ins tall. He had short grey/brown hair and a small amount of facial hair. He wore a black leather jacket, blue jeans with rips and light brown shoes.

Detective Constable Sarah Bunting, said: “We want to speak to this man in connection with this sexual assault, which has left the victim very shaken. If you can identify him, or offer any information which could progress this investigation, we would like to hear from you.”
