Appeal following shooting in Waltham Forest

Detectives investigating a shooting in Waltham Forest are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. 

At around 20:15hrs on Friday, 5 October, officers were called to reports of shots fired on Goodall Road in Leyton.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, was shot several times as he was parking his car. He was not seriously hurt and is now recovering at home.

The suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a grey vehicle.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the E11 area that night and who may have heard or seen anything unusual.

In particular, they are keen to speak to those who have mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the incident.

Acting Detective Sergeant Lee Marley, from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command, said: “We know there were people in the Goodall Road area around the time the victim sustained his injuries.

“I would urge anyone who has any further information to contact us via 101 quoting reference 7353/05Oct18.”
