UPDATED Appeal for absconder

Detectives in Hackney continue to appeal for information to trace a man who has absconded while on escorted leave from a mental health unit.

Police are issuing a CCTV still showing 41-year-old Mark Peacock shortly before he left the mental health unit in Wolfson House, Green Lanes, N4 on Thursday, 16 February.

Peacock was last seen at 13:45hrs that day in the Sainsbury's supermarket at the Arena Shopping Park, Green Lanes while on a period of escorted leave.

He is described as a white male, 5ft 9ins in height, of slim build with close cropped light brown/blonde hair.

He has distinctive tattoos including 'Made in London' written on the back of his neck, several swallow birds on his hands and a British bulldog tattoo on his right leg.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a dark grey polo top, a light grey tracksuit top and zipped grey jacket. He was also wearing black Nike trainers.

He is originally from Essex and is known to frequent various locations in London and the south of England. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him but call 999 immediately.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is also advised to call 999.
