Appeal for witnesses to collision in Sutton

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Sutton.

Police were called at 17:52hrs on Thursday, 11 July to reports of a white Mercedes in collision with a female pedestrian on Banstead Road at the junctions with Harrow Road and Hill Road.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

The 24-year-old pedestrian was taken to an east London hospital suffering from serious injuries. Her family has been informed.

The driver of the car stopped and the scene. There have been no arrests.

The Roads and Transport Policing Command is investigating.
