Appeal for witnesses to Dagenham stabbing

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during an altercation in Dagenham.

Officers were called at around 23:30hrs on Saturday, 17 November to reports that a man, aged 30, had been stabbed in the street on Porters Avenue, Dagenham, following an argument.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers are asking for anyone who saw the incident or was in the area at the time to get in touch with information.

Detective Constable Chris Parkhouse, from the Met’s East Area Command Unit, said: “This incident occurred on a busy road and we believe a number of people will have heard or seen what happened.

“We are working to try to clarify the exact circumstances and anyone with information is urged to contact us on 101 with CAD reference number 8395/17NOV18."

Two men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH]. There were taken to an east London police station and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
