Appeal for witnesses to shooting in east London

One-week on from a shooting in Newham, detectives are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward and assist the investigation.

Police were called at 20:15hrs on Saturday, 6 April to reports of shots fired inside a barber’s on Green Street, E13.

Officers attended. However, the suspect and the intended victim(s) had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

There is no indication that anyone was injured during the shooting.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.

They are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

The suspect is described as black, 6ft and of muscular build. He was dressed in dark coloured clothes and had a bandana covering his face.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
