New appeal to find missing woman from Westminster

Police are renewing appeals for the public's help to find a missing woman from Marylebone.

Gakleen Shahata, 39, of Burne Street, NW1, was last seen at about 12:00hrs on Sunday, 12 February at the Golders Green Parish Church in Barnet.

She was attending a church service with her family when she made her excuses and went to the toilet but did not re-appear. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Gakleen is described as British Sudanese, with long brown wavy hair, about 5ft 5ins tall and of heavy build.

At the time of his disappearance she was wearing a bright orange anorak, a white top and white jeans. 

She is known to frequent Edgware Road and Hyde Park.

Gakleen is deaf and speech impaired. She understands basic British sign language and some Arabic. She also has mild learning difficulties.

Her family and officers are growing increasingly concerned for Gakleen's wellbeing due to the amount of time she has been missing.
