Man bailed following arrest in connection with Barking murder investigation

Detectives investigating the murder of 23-year-old Abdulrahman Nassor Juma in Barking have made an arrest.

A 22-year-old man [A] was arrested at an address in east London on Thursday, 24 May on suspicion of murder.

He was taken to an east London police station for questioning and has now been bailed to a date in mid-June.

Police were called at 23:31hrs on Thursday, 17 May, to reports of a man stabbed on Crows Road close to Harts Lane.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found Abdulrahman - known as Mani to his friends - suffering from stab injuries.

He was given first aid by officers prior to the arrival of paramedics but sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination held on Friday, 18 May at Queens Hospital Mortuary gave cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command launched an investigation, led by Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Packer.
