Arrest made in Wood Green fatal shooting

Detectives investigating the murder of a teenager in Wood Green have made an arrest.

Officers from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, supported by armed officers, conducted an arrest operation at an address in the Archway area on Sunday, 11 March.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in Wood Green on Thursday, 8 March. He was taken to a north London police station where he currently remains.

Police in Haringey were called to Hollywood Green, High Road, N22 at 00:32hrs on Thursday, 8 March following reports of a shooting.

Armed police attended along with London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gun shot injury.

The injured man was taken by LAS to a central London hospital where he sadly died a short while later. His next-of-kin have been informed.
