Police are appealing for witnesses following a distraction theft in Chingford on Saturday, 13 October 2018.
Officers were called at around 14:23hrs by an elderly woman who reported her card had been stolen as she was at the cash point outside a supermarket on Walthamstow Avenue at around 12:00hrs that day.
The victim had put her card into the cash point when a man approached her, pushed her out of the way and took the card from the machine.
Shortly afterwards two separate withdrawals of £250 were made from the account.
Officers from the Met's North East CID began an investigation and have now released CCTV of two men they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
The first suspect is believed to be aged between 20 and 30 years and of large build.
He was accompanied by another man who acted as a lookout and who is believed to be between 17 to 25 years old and of slim build.
Detectives believe the victim was deliberately targeted due to her age and are appealing for anyone who recognises the men, or any witnesses to the incident which happened outside of a busy supermarket in the middle of the day.
