Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to in connection to the attack.
At approximately 22:50hrs on Friday, 22 June, the suspect broke into a property on High Road, Leyton, E10.
The victim, a woman aged in her 30s, was asleep in the property at the time and woke up when she heard glass smashing after the suspect had entered through a window.
The suspect, who was armed with an axe, entered the victim's bedroom and demanded that she hand over her mobile phone, bank cards and other valuables.
He then left the scene via the window he entered through.
Officers were called at 22:55hrs and carried out a search of the property and surrounding area.
On Monday, 25 June, the victim contacted officers and told them that her contactless cards had been used in a local fast food restaurant, a supermarket and to enter a tube station.
Officers attended these locations and retrieved the CCTV. Both CCTV from the supermarket and fast food restaurant showed the suspect at the times the victim's cards were used.
