Five charged with firearms and drug offences following joint op

Five men have been charged with firearms and drug offences following a joint operation involving the Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley Police and Norfolk Constabulary. 

Those charged are:


[A] Mohammed Tariq, 22 yrs of Manor Road, Aylesbury;
[B] Mohammed Younis, 40 yrs, of Ardenham Street, Aylesbury;
[C] Rocky Thompson, 34 yrs, and of no fixed abode;
[D] Shakeel Khaliq, 32 yrs, of no fixed abode;
[E] Yetgen Eken, 46 yrs, a Turkish national of no fixed UK address.

They were all charged on Wednesday, 16 October with:

- conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable another;
- conspiring to possess ammunition with intent to endanger life/enable another;
- conspiring to supply a class A drug, namely heroin.

Eken was also charged with one count of carry/ remove, conceal with intent to evade restriction/prohibition.

All five appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 16 October and were remanded in custody to next appear at Southwark Crown Court on 13 November.

Two other people arrested as part of the operation – [F] a 28-yr-old woman and [G] a 30-yr-old man – have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
