Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Whitechapel have charged a fifth man with murder
Officers have made a further charge in connection with the murder of 40-year-old Iron Miah in Whitechapel last year.
[G] Aaron Campbell, 28, (30.08.91) of Star Road, has been charged with murder. He is further charged with an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Campbell is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 15 January.
Police were called on 19 November 2019 to Nelson Street, E1, after 40-year-old Iron Miah was found collapsed with a head injury.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and Mr Miah was taken to hospital. He died on 21 November 2019 and his family are being supported by specialist officers.
A post-mortem examination held on 25 November 2019 determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.
Four other men have also been charged with Iron’s murder and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 14 February:
[A] Hassan Mohammed, 31 (16.08.88), of Cumberland Road, Portsmouth
[D] Nanu Miah, 20 (24.04.99), of Brandon Street, Southwark
[E] Mohamed Moshaer Ali, 27 (07.04.92) of Western Avenue, Dagenham
[F] Antonio Afflick-McLeod, 28 (09.03.91) of Mayfair Avenue, Ilford, has been charged with murder and also charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, heroin, cannabis and MDMA and with possession of a firearm.
