Detectives investigating the murder of Clinton Evbota in Camberwell have made a further arrest.
A 17-year-old male [G] from Streatham was arrested on Sunday, 20 October on suspicion of murder – he remains in custody at a south London police station.
Six other males were arrested on Friday, 18 October on suspicion of Clinton's murder – they have all been bailed pending further enquiries. They are:
[A] A 17-year-old from Coulsdon;
[B] A 14-year-old from Southwark;
[C] A 15-year-old from Camberwell;
[D] A 15-year-old from Camberwell;
[E] A 18-year-old from Stockwell;
[F] A 17-year-old from Stockwell.
An investigation was launched after police were called at 20:21hours on Thursday, 10 October to a stabbing in Brandon Estate, Grimsel Path, SE5.
Officers attended and found 18-year-old Clinton Evbota injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 21:14 hours.
Formal identification has taken place. A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
Enquiries led by Specialist Crime Command detectives continue.
