Group not guilty of manslaughter of man in Enfield

Seven members of the same family have been found not guilty of manslaughter following the death of a man in Enfield.

Kennedy Ife died on 22 August 2016 at an address in Lancaster Avenue, Enfield.

On Thursday, 14 March, his mother, father and five brothers were found not guilty following a month-long trial at the Old Bailey.

They are: Kenneth Ife, 64; Josephine Ife, 56; Roy Ife, 33 ; Harry Ife, 32 ; Samuel Ife, 28; Daniel Ife, 28, and Colin Ife, 26.

An investigation was launched by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command after a post-mortem examination conducted the following day established cause of death as cardio respiratory arrest in association with restraint and acute behavioural disturbance.
