Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses following the murder of a 19-year-old man in Wood Green on Friday evening, 22 February.
Officers are also investigating a linked attempted murder after a 20-year-old man was stabbed and received a gunshot injury. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A post mortem is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday, 27 February).
Formal identification awaits.
An investigation was launched after police were called to Vincent Road, Wood Green at 20:09hrs on Friday, 22 February.
The investigation is now being led by Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.
Officers have linked an earlier incident in Hollywood Green area near to the Vue Cinema. Cordons are currently in place and further searches are taking place.
DCI Stancombe said: “It is now apparent that the attack started in Hollywood Green. The victims were chased a short distance to Vincent Road by a group of males riding push bikes. Having caught up with them, they stabbed and shot the first victim, before forcing their way into a hairdressers to stab the other.
“The attack happened at about 8pm on a Friday evening in a busy area packed with shops, restaurants and bars. Numerous people would have been leaving the cinema or arriving to watch the evening showings.
“We are urging anyone with any information to come forward with what they saw, heard or what they may know. We are especially interested to see any images or videos you may have on your phones and have set up a website where people can leave information anonymously, please visit - ukpoliceimageappeal.com.
