Man arrested in connection with murder of 28-year-old man in Romford

Detectives investigating the murder of 28-year-old Liam Alan Harman in Romford have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

The 27-year-old man [A] was arrested on Saturday, 15 July and taken to an east London police station for questioning.

He has since been released under investigation.

Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses following the fatal stabbing in Romford.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) just before 22:40hrs on Tuesday, 11 July to a report of a stabbing at an address in a block of flats on Straight Road in Romford.

Officers attended along with the LAS and found a man suffering from stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 23:22hrs.

The deceased has been formally identified as Liam Alan Harman, 28 (7.7.89) of Harold Hill. His next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as stab wound to the chest and abdomen.

The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command have launched an investigation.
