New arrest in the Mohanna Abdhou murder investigation

Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command investigating the murder of 20-year-old Mohanna Abdhou in Kilburn on Friday, 26 May at Malvern Road, NW6 have made a new arrest.

A 21-year-old male [K] was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 5 December after handing himself in at a central London police station.

This arrest follows an investigation by the Homicide and Major Crime Command after Mohanna, known as Montanna to her friends, was shot in Malvern Road, NW6 at approximately 20:45hrs on Friday, 26 May.

Previously, three people have been charged in connection with the murder of Mohanna Abdhou.

[G] Mohammed Tawfik, 19 (24.10.98) and [I] A 16-year-old male were charged with her murder on 2 November. They are both from the W10 area.

[J] Kathleen Peddar, 21 (28.10.1986) from Brent was arrested on 6 November after voluntarily attending a north London police station. She was charged with assisting an offender on 7 November.

All three have been remanded in custody.

Seven other people have been arrested as part of this investigation - all have been released under investigation.

[A] A 21-year-old man arrested on 26 May.
[B] A 19-year-old man arrested on 31 May.
[C] A 20-year-old man arrested on 31 May.
[D] A 20-year-old woman arrested on 15 June.
[E] A 21-year-old woman arrested on 15 June.
[F] A 25-year-old woman arrested on 15 June.
[H] A 21-year-old man arrested on 25 July.
