A detective sergeant has been given a written warning after allegations of misconduct were proven.
Detective Sergeant Simon Gray, based at North West Command Unit, attended a misconduct hearing from 13 to 15 May at the Empress State Building.
The panel found DS Gray had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
-Authority, Respect and Courtesy;
The allegations related to an incident in December 2015 when DS Gray attended a staff Christmas party whilst off duty.
Both during the course of the party and in the immediate aftermath, it was alleged that DS Gray acted inappropriately towards another police officer.
The breaches were found to be at the level of misconduct and DS Gray has been given a written warning.
