A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been sentenced to two years imprisonment after pleading guilty to misconduct in public office.

PC Scott Johnson, 45 (15.04.73) attached to Hammersmith and Fulham borough, was charged with the offence on Thursday, 30 August, following his arrest on 20 October 2017.

On Thursday, 6 December, he was sentenced to two years in jail at Southwark Crown Court.

The charge related to an allegation that PC Johnson engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a vulnerable female he had met whilst on duty, and sent her inappropriate texts and images from his mobile phone.

The officer has been suspended from duty.
