Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Lambeth are appealing for witnesses.
Police were called at 12:07hrs on Thursday, 29 August, to reports of a stabbing on Brixton Hill, SW2.
Officers, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene and found a 39-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.
He was taken by LAS to a south London hospital where he sadly died a short time later.
Next of kin have been notified. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
A crime scene and road closures are currently in place on Brixton Hill, at the junction with New Park Road.
Police have arrested two males [no further details] on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been taken to a south London police station where they remain at this time.
At this early stage officers retain an open mind as to motive. Enquiries continue.
