UPDATE: ​Police appeal for witnesses to fatal collision in Wembley

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to fatal collision in Wembley as they name the victim as 17-year-old Jahiem Legister-Hall. 

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage which can be submitted online at

Officers were called to High Road at the junction of Thurlow Gardens at 19:25hrs on Sunday, 1 September following a report of a collision between a car and a moped.

The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended. Jahiem was taken to a north London hospital where he died the following day. 

Next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place. 

The driver of the car, a Volkswagen Golf, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries. 

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident. 

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, witnessed any of the vehicles driving prior to the incident or has any dash cam footage to contact them on 101 quoting reference 6734/1Sep.
