Police name victim in Neasden fatal collision

Detectives investigating a fatal road traffic accident in Neasden have named the victim.

Police were called at 21:29hrs on Saturday, 27 of April to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on Neasden Lane A4088 on the approach to Neasden Parade.

The driver stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The 60-year-old pedestrian was taken to St Mary’s hospital where he sadly passed away as a result of his injuries.

His next-of-kin have now been informed and he has been formally identified as Vincenzo Vernillo.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to hear from anyone with information in relation to the collision, Mr Vernillo’s movements prior to the incident and anyone with dash cam footage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton on 020 8991 9555 quoting reference 1910749/19.
