Police officer pleads not guilty to criminal damage and violence.

A serving police constable attached to Westminster borough has pleaded not guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court to three charges of; criminal damage, common assault and violence to secure entry to his partner’s address on Thursday, 4 December.

PC Damian Carlin, 40, was charged on Saturday, 2 December following his arrest made on Friday, 1 December while off-duty.

A trial date has been set for Monday, 8 January at South West London Magistrates’ Court.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and will review once the criminal proceedings have concluded.

A decision will be made in due course as to whether the officer will be restricted or suspended from his duties.
