Eight people rearrested following murder

Detectives investigating the murder of 18-year-old Jay Sewell in Eltham last December have rearrested eight people.

Two women [B - 29yrs; C - 54yrs] and six males [A - 22yrs; D - 57yrs; E - 31yrs; F - 16yrs; G - 19yrs; H - 20yrs] were arrested on Wednesday, 27 February on suspicion of murder.

They have all been taken to a south London police station where they remain in custody.

Jay was attacked at Alwold Crescent, SE12, at around 21:50hrs on 11 December 2018.

Officers attended. A short time later Jay and a second man, also aged 18, attended a south London hospital suffering from stab injuries.

Jay sadly died in hospital.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

A number of people were arrested in December; they were either released under investigation or bailed pending further enquiries.
