Special constable dismissed

A special constable previously convicted of making indecent photographs of children has been dismissed without notice from the Metropolitan Police Service.

A special case hearing on Wednesday, 20 March found that SPC Munaver Master had committed gross misconduct by breaching police standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct.

On 21 January 2019 at Snaresbrook Crown Court, SPC Master, attached to North East Basic Command Unit, was convicted at Snaresbrook Crown Court of three counts of making indecent photographs of children (categories A, B and C).

He was arrested on 20 October 2017 following an investigation by the Predatory Offenders Unit, part of Specialist Crime and Operations, and then charged on 12 March 2018.

He was sentenced on 8 March 2019 to an 18-month community order, a rehabilitation activity order for 45 days, a programme requirement up to 45 days, 80 hours’ community work and a sexual harm prevention order for five years.
