Teenager charged in Southwark murder

A teenager has been charged by detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Clinton Evbota in Southwark.

A 16-year-old boy [H] from Camberwell was arrested on the morning of Tuesday, 3 December and has been charged with murder.

He will appear at Bromley Youth Court on Thursday, 5 December.

Police were called at 20:21hrs on Thursday, 10 October to a stabbing on the Brandon Estate on Grimsel Path, SE5.

Officers attended and found 18-year-old Clinton suffering stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 21:14hrs.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

Enquiries led by Specialist Crime Command detectives continue.

Seven other males – aged between 14 and 18 years old – have been arrested as part of the investigation into Clinton's murder.

A 14-year-old boy [B] has since been released with no further action. The other six have been bailed pending further enquiries.
