Teenager charged with Camden murders

Detectives investigating two murders and assaults in Camden have charged a teenager.

The 17-year-old boy [G] was charged on Tuesday, 13 March with the murders of Abdikarim Hassan and Sadiq Aadam Mohamed in Camden on Tuesday, 20 February.

He was also charged with violent disorder following an incident on the same day in Pembury Circus, E5.

He will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 14 March.

Previously, [F] Ben Drummond, 18 (09.09.99), of Ingestre Road, NW5, was charged on Thursday, 1 March with the murders of Abdikarim Hassan and Sadiq Aadam Mohamed in Camden on Tuesday, 20 February.

He also charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm on two victims aged 17 [GBH] and 24 [attempted GBH] that took place at Aldenham Street, Camden on the evening of Tuesday, 20 February.

Drummond appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 1 March and next appears at the Old Bailey - date awaits.

[E] Isaiah Popoola, 18 (16.05.99) of Grafton Way, WC1 was charged on the evening of Sunday, 25 February with the murders of Abdikarim Hassan and Sadiq Aadam Mohamed in Camden on Tuesday, 20 February.

Popoola was also charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm on two victims aged 17 [GBH] and 24 [attempted GBH] that took place at Aldenham Street, Camden on the evening of Tuesday, 20 February.

He appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Monday, 26 February and next appears at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 16 May.
