Two teenagers from south London have appeared in court charged in connection with moped-enabled robbery and driving offences.
A 17-year-old male [A] was charged on Friday, 22 February with conspiracy to commit robbery, driving not in accordance, driving without a licence.
A second 17-year-old male [B] was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, driving not in accordance, driving without a licence, possession of cannabis, and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.
They both appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Friday, 22 February.
They will next appear in custody at Croydon Crown Court on a date in March.
They were arrested on Thursday, 21 February after officers from Operation Venice - dedicated to tackling moped-enabled crime - and local Safer Neighbourhoods officers executed a number of search warrants at five addresses in the Carshalton and South Norwood area, as part of an investigation into a series of moped-enabled robberies across south London this month.
A 14-year-old boy [C] and a 15-year-old boy [D] also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery have been released under investigation.
