Police from Croydon Borough investigating the theft of a dog have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the incident.

On Friday, 4 December 2015 police were called at around 15:00hrs to a report of a theft of a dog from a ten-year-old boy outside a supermarket in Parkway, New Addington.

The victim and his mum went to the supermarket and the boy waited outside with 'Jessie', a brown and blonde, female Yorkshire Terrier. A few moments later a male approached him and asked if he could pet the dog. The man then picked up the dog and ran off towards Central Parade.

The suspect is described as a white male of slim build, aged between 18 and 22 with brown hair. He was wearing dark clothes with white trainers.
