Third man arrested in connection with Enfield shooting

Detectives investigating a shooting in Enfield have arrested a third man in connection with their investigation.

Police were called at around 21:45hrs on Wednesday, 5 April to a man shot in Lincoln Road, Enfield near to the Travel Lodge Hotel.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the location.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

On Wednesday, 19 April a 21-year-old man [C] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Previously a 20-year-old man [A] was arrested on Wednesday, 12 April on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been released on conditional bail. On Thursday, 13 April a 20-year-old man [B] was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been released on conditional bail.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command initially investigated the shooting but on 11 April the investigation was passed to detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC).

There is no change to the status of the investigation and detectives from the HMCC will be able to draw upon additional resources available to them.
