Three men sought after assault in Cheam

Detectives investigating a vicious assault in Sutton have released CCTV footage showing three males they wish to trace.

The 39-year-old victim was walking on Church Hill Road, Cheam, at approximately 01:50hrs on 27 May when he was followed by three male youths.

They approached him and he was hit several times in the face with a broom.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene. The victim sustained multiple fractures to his face and has lost the sight in his right eye. He may still lose his eye.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of three males walking alongside the victim in an alleyway off Church Hill Road just before the attack, and then running back down the alleyway just over a minute later.
