Two arrested following attempted robbery at shopping centre

At around 19:15hrs on Tuesday, 9 October, officers responded to an attempted robbery at a watch shop in Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

The six suspects were riding three motorcycles.

Officers intervened and arrested two of the suspects. One of the males was taken to hospital suffering injuries, which are believed to be minor. The second male was taken into custody at a north London police station.

Both were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.

The four other suspects made off on two motorcycles. Urgent enquiries are underway to trace them.

We await confirmation of whether anything was stolen.

An officer sustained a head injury, which is not believed to be serious. He will be attending hospital as a precaution.

A female member of the public, aged in her 50s, sustained an injury to her arm. She will be assessed at the scene by LAS.
