Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Forest Gate have made a third arrest.
Officers investigating the fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old man found in Warwick Road, E15, on Tuesday 28 May, have made a third arrest.
Detectives arrested [C] a 24-year-old man, on the night of Saturday, 1 June, on suspicion of murder. He currently remains in custody at an east London police station.
Two other individuals have also been arrested. A 46-year-old man [A] arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 28 May has been released on bail to a date in mid-June, and a 20-year-old woman [B] who was arrested on suspicion of murder on 29 May, remains in custody.
A murder investigation was launched following officers originally being called to reports that a fight was taking place in the street in the early hours of Tuesday 28 May. The victim was taken to hospital where he sadly died. Next of kin were subsequently informed.
A post-mortem carried out on Thursday, 30 May found the cause of death to be a stab wound to the abdomen. Formal identification awaits.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident and remain keen to hear from anyone who has information that could assist them.
