Two further arrests - Stratford murder

Detectives investigating the murder of 15-year-old Baptista Adjei, who was stabbed to death in Newham, have made two more arrests.

A 15-year-old boy [B] and a 16-year-old boy [C] were arrested this morning (Tuesday, 15 October) by homicide detectives, with support from local Newham officers, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

They have been taken to an east London police station where they remain in custody.

This follows the arrest of a 15-year-old boy [A] on Friday, 11 October after he presented himself at an east London police station. He was charged on Saturday, 12 October with murder, grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to another 15-year-old victim and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

Police were called on Thursday, 10 October at 15:20hrs to reports of a male found stabbed outside Stratford Broadway near Tramway Avenue.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and Baptista was found with critical injuries. He died at the scene at 15:49hrs.
