Two people who were arrested on Tuesday, 5 December in south-east London have been released on police bail to a date in late December.
Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, supported by armed officers, executed a search warrant at an address south-east London, where they arrested a 21-year-old man [A].
A 27-year-old woman [B] was also arrested as part of the same investigation after she was stopped by police in a vehicle in a nearby street.
Both were arrested on suspicion of offences under the Explosive Substances Act, 1883. The pair were taken to a south London police station, where they were subsequently released on bail.
Officers carried out a search at the address which has now concluded. Enquiries continue.
