Two teenage boys have been charged in connection with moped-enabled mobile phone robberies in north London.
A 14-year-old boy [A] and a 17-year-old boy [B] both from north London, were arrested on Friday, 17 November and have today (Saturday, 18 November) been charged with the following offences:
- Six counts of robbery;
- Two counts of attempted robbery;
- Conspiracy to steal; and
- Conspiracy to commit robbery.
These relate to offences commited on 25 August in the north London area. They have also been charged with driving offences, including two counts of riding a motorcycle and failing to wear protective headgear.
[B] was further charged with:
- Possession of a class B drug;
- Dangerous driving; and
- Three counts of robbery, and theft (relating to offences on 17 October).
Both boys are due to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 18 November.
