UPDATE: Appeal following fatal collision

Detectives investigating a road traffic collision in Morden are appealing for the driver of a black Toyota Corolla to come forward.

The driver - who is being treated solely as a witness - is believed to have seen the moments prior to the collision. They were driving towards the Rosehill roundabout.

Police were called at 02:12hrs on Tuesday, 25 September, to a car in collision with a tree on Bishopsford Road in Morden.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

We await the results of the post-mortem examination.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue however, it is not believed that anyone else was in the car or any other vehicles were involved.

No arrests have been made.
