Officers are pleased to report that the family of a young boy who was injured in a collision in South Ealing have been identified and contacted.
The 12-year-old boy remains in a stable condition and is now able to speak with hospital staff.
Detectives from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision.
Police were called at 12:19hrs on Saturday, 18 March to reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and a child on Popes Lane at the junction with Knight's Avenue, W5.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found the boy with a head and leg injury. He was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
At this early stage it is believed that he got off a Route E3 bus and moments later the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist stopped at the scene. They were not arrested and are assisting detectives with their enquiries.
