Detectives are investigating after a man died following an assault in Lambeth.
Officers were called on Saturday, 29 June at around 17:55hrs to reports of a fight on Coldharbour Lane, SW9.
Police attended and found a 54-year-old man injured having been assaulted.
The London Ambulance Service were called and he was taken to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 22:10hrs.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in the coming days.
Three men - [A – 62yrs; B – 66yrs; C – 64yrs] - were arrested on suspicion of murder and have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The investigation into the circumstances leading to this tragic death are currently being led by detectives from CID at Central South Command Unit. The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.

The Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified of this incident along with the Independent Office for Police Conduct as the man was placed under arrest prior to being taken to hospital. It is standard procedure that they explore the events of the evening.
