Appeal after woman injured in attempted robbery
Detectives have issued a photo of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an attempted robbery in Westminster where a woman suffered serious facial injuries.
At about 02:00hrs on 10 October 2021, the victim was in Bruton Street, W1J, with his wife and two friends waiting for a taxi after a night out when they were approached by three unknown men.
The men attempted to grab the victim’s watch from his wrist, but he resisted and a struggle ensued. The victim’s wife told the suspects to ‘get off her husband,’ before she was punched in the face.
The suspects then ran off and fled the scene, empty handed, in a car.
The female victim suffered serious facial injuries, which have required continuous treatment.
